Under Noahide, non-Jews may not read to Jews from a Torah scroll: Book Review, The Rainbow Covenant

The featured image to this post comes from The Rainbow Covenant by Michale Dallen. The man at the front of the Jewish congregation is dressed like a Viking to exaggerate that he is a gentile (non-Jew). Notice how his face is drawn to make him look stupid. The image accompanies text stating that a non-Jew has no right reading from a Torah scroll before a Jewish congregation.

 "B'nai Noah have no business:

...

Goinging before a Jewish congregation and, in the course of its regular worship services, reading to it aloud from any portion of a Torah scroll." (Dallen, 2003, p. 72)

Cursing your parents could lead to capital punishment under Noahide Law: Book Review, The Rainbow Covenant

TABLE OF CONTENTS

Many people believe it is good to be respectful to your parents, but under the Noahide Laws, cursing your parents could lead to capital punishment, according to Michael Dallen and his book The Rainbow Covenant.

"God gives no child the right to either strike or (even) curse a parent. The law on this point logically and obviously relates to prohibitory Torah Commandments — two of Israel's 365 Negative Commandments — that forbid such behavior as criminal acts, which (Israel's) courts may punish capitaly.  So these two bad acts both must be Noahide crimes. We can argue about how these two holy prohibitions are best classified — that is, about which of the Seven Commandments most logically includes them — but God's laws against cursing or assaulting one's parent are clearly universal."  (Dallen, 2003, pp. 65-66)

SEE THE REST OF THIS BOOK REVIEW (Here)

We have already discussed the growing alliance between Islam and Noahide Law (here), here a Noahidist author claims Muhammad taught the Noahide Laws to his followers.

"Islam's Prophet Muhammed, in the seventh century CE, emphasized the holiness of Israel's Torah. Through the Koran, he offered his followers lessons that first were proclaimed in the Written and the Oral Torah. He particularly emphasized some of the Oral Torah's holdings concerning the Universal Law, and repeatedly tried to teach them to his fllowers." (Dallen, 2003, p. 41)

Noahide book claims Jesus taught staying under the law of Torah, but Paul and James said some laws were only for Israel and the Noahide Laws were for gentiles: Book Review, The Rainbow Covenant

SEE THE REST OF THIS BOOK REVIEW (Here)

This is not the first time we have seen Jewish or Noahidist writers say that Paul and James preached the Noahide Laws (here) and (here). Here they also say that Jesus taught staying under Torah Law, but Paul and James felt this was too difficult for Gentile converts so they simplified it with Noahide.

"Paul (Saint Paul), the former rabbinic student, produced what are probably the world's most quoted lists of Noahide laws. While Jesus apparendy advocated total compliance with "even the least"of the Torah's ordinances, Paul did not. Writing that the Torah is "good, holy, and just,"and that he himself "delights in the Torah," he also realized that many of its laws are meant only for Israel. In the second half of the first century CE he and James (Saint James, or Jacob/ Yakov ben YoseJ), the new movement's leaders, decided against "troubling" or "burdening" Gentile converts to Christianity with the complete Law of Moses. Instead, the Christian Scriptures give converts just a fewm"necessary rules" — such as those against drinking blood, "sexual immorality," and eating meat from animals that had been either cruelly killed or consecrated to idols — which all stem from the Noahide Law." (Dallen, 2003, p. 41)
